How Is Particle Board Made?

Many boards use finer particles near the surfaces and larger particles within the core. This structure helps produce smooth outer faces while retaining sufficient internal volume and strength.
The mat passes through a hot-pressing process that consolidates the particles into a stable panel.

It also requires suitable fastening methods. Repeatedly removing and reinstalling screws in the same hole can weaken the particle structure.
